I know I'm being held by Daddy. I know Mommy is right here, too. That's just perfect for me. Now, if I keep my eyes closed and pretend I'm asleep maybe the bright lights will stop flashing.

I get so tired meeting all these new people. How did they get so big? How will I ever remember all their names? As far back as I can remember I only remember thinking about Mommy and Daddy. I need to rest. Somebody turn out the lights, please.

Maybe if I just keep my eyes closed this will turn out to be just a dream that I can continue to enjoy. I sure hope it's real, but I'm a little afraid to wake up and find out for sure. All these people are so nice, especially the ones called Mommy and Daddy. I'm positive I want to keep them.

Okay, here's our first family portrait. Be kind, Mom and Dad aren't used to this yet. I had to squirm around a bit to get them to pose correctly. They'll get better at this eventually. In the meantime, who do you think I look like?

We are the proud grandparents of Tyler Joshua, the subject of this blog. He was born early this morning weighing in at 8 pounds, 12 ounces and standing tall at 21.5 inches. His mother and father, Concetta and Josh, are happy, proud, thrilled, tired and relieved. We will be seeing him soon. Welcome home, Tyler! His picture will be here as soon as possible.
